Srinagar:In the wake of the tragic killing of innocent civilians by terrorists in Pahalgam, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has appealed for a collective moment of silence across the Union Territory.Taking to social media, Abdullah requested all government office employees in Jammu and Kashmir to observe a two-minute silence at 3:30 PM today as a mark of respect and solidarity with the victims.“In light of the tragic killing of innocent civilians by terrorists in Pahalgam, all government office employees across Jammu and Kashmir are requested to observe a two-minute silence at 3:30 PM today as a mark of respect and solidarity,” he tweeted.The call comes as shock and grief continue to spread over the Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of several civilians in what is being described as a brutal act of terror. Security forces are currently investigating the incident, and a manhunt has been launched to track down the perpetrators.Political leaders across party lines have condemned the attack, calling for unity and resilience in the face of violence. Omar Abdullah’s appeal is seen as a gesture to foster collective mourning and reinforce societal solidarity during a time of distress.
