Heavy Rains Batter Tripura, Damaging Over 400 Homes

AGARTALA: (April 22) Tripura was severely impacted by heavy rains and thunderstorms, causing significant damage to more than 400 homes, according to a statement.

The storm also led to power outages across the region, with 49 electricity poles reported damaged.

In the Gomati district’s Karbook area, two individuals were injured when their homes collapsed. The victims, identified as Nayan Kumar Tripura (70) and Rumati Tripura (39), were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
