April 21 : In a major breakthrough in the Murshidabad double murder case, Odisha police have arrested two key suspects who were reportedly hiding in Jharsuguda. The arrests follow an alert issued by the West Bengal police, who had informed their counterparts in Odisha about the accused’s possible whereabouts.
According to Himanshu Lal, the Inspector General (IG) of Jharsuguda, the West Bengal police notified the Odisha authorities that some of the individuals involved in the brutal killing of a father and son in Murshidabad had taken refuge in the region. Acting swiftly on the information, the Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police (SP) organized a special team to carry out a targeted raid early this morning.
The operation led to the successful arrest of two individuals, whose identities have not yet been revealed. Himanshu Lal confirmed that the investigation into the case is still ongoing, with further details expected to be released as the probe progresses.
