New Delhi, April 19: A tragic incident occurred in northeast Delhi’s Shakti Vihar early Saturday morning when a four-storey building collapsed, leaving four people dead and several others feared trapped, officials confirmed.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after police received a call around 3:02 a.m. reporting the collapse in Gali No. 1 of the Dayalpur area. Upon arrival, they found the entire building had crumbled.

Preliminary reports suggest that around 22 people were inside the building at the time. Rescue teams have so far pulled 14 individuals from the debris. They were taken to GTB Hospital, where doctors declared four of them dead on arrival.

Rescue efforts are ongoing as authorities continue to search for any remaining survivors. Police and disaster response teams are on-site, and the cause of the collapse is yet to be determined.
