Awantipora, June 4: Continuing its crackdown against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan, Awantipora Police, in coordination with the civil administration, demolished an illegally constructed commercial property belonging to an alleged notorious drug peddler in Chersoo area of Awantipora on Thursday.

According to officials, the demolished structure comprised two shops and a cowshed that had been constructed illegally. The action was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the infrastructure and financial networks supporting narcotics-related activities in the region.

Police stated that the move reflects their firm commitment to combating drug abuse and trafficking by targeting assets allegedly acquired through illegal means. The authorities emphasized that strict action will continue against individuals involved in the drug trade and those facilitating narcotics activities.
