Srinagar, May 31: Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday held a special meeting at Imambara Gulshan Bagh, Upper Srinagar, to review preparations for the upcoming month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
The meeting was attended by district and zonal committee members, Nauha reciters, representatives of Daira-e-Hussaini management committees, and organisational officials. Proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by discussions on a comprehensive Muharram agenda.
Key issues deliberated included the organisation of Majalis and mourning processions, maintenance of discipline, sanitation, traffic management, punctuality, facilities for mourners, and other administrative matters. Participants shared suggestions and discussed challenges and measures to ensure smooth observance of Muharram.
Addressing the gathering, Hujjat-ul-Islam Agha Syed Mujtaba Abbas Al-Mousavi Al-Safavi stressed the importance of upholding Hussaini values, unity, discipline, and religious awareness during Muharram. He urged volunteers, Nauha reciters, management committees, and mourners to work collectively to ensure that mourning events are conducted in an organised, disciplined, and dignified manner.
