SRINAGAR: Police on Thursday apprehended a suspected militant associate in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district and recovered two hand grenades and posters from his possession, officials said.

The accused, identified as Adil Hussain Lone, son of Mohammad Sadiq Lone and a resident of Mohmadpora village, was intercepted near his native village during an operation, police said.

Officials stated that two hand grenades and certain posters were seized during the operation. The arrest comes amid ongoing security operations targeting militant networks and suspected logistical support structures in south Kashmir.
