Manoj Sinha on Wednesday handed over appointment letters to newly recruited constables of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and called upon them to dedicate themselves to safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation.

In a post shared on X, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated the new recruits and urged them to uphold the proud traditions and legacy of the police force while serving the people with commitment and integrity.

“Today, handed over appointment letters to the newly appointed constables of J&K Police. Urged new recruits to dedicate themselves to defending the unity and integrity of the motherland and to strengthen the proud legacy of this force,” Sinha said.

Highlighting the evolving security challenges in the region, the Lieutenant Governor stressed the importance of remaining alert and vigilant at all times. He noted that the changing nature of terrorism and law-and-order threats requires constant preparedness and heightened awareness from security personnel.

“We must remain constantly alert and vigilant. The nature of law & order threats and terrorism has evolved, demanding a constant, unyielding vigilance and alert to threats that hide in plain sight,” he added.

The recruitment of new constables is seen as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the police force and enhance security preparedness across the Union Territory. The J&K Police has played a crucial role in maintaining law and order and countering security challenges in the region.
