Anantnag: Police in Anantnag on Saturday have intensified their crackdown on gambling activities, with Anantnag Police arresting six persons in the Pahalgam area for alleged gambling at Lidder Park.
According to police, a team from Police Station Pahalgam conducted a raid at the spot and apprehended the accused while they were engaged in gambling activities. Playing cards and stake money amounting to ₹18,260 were seized from their possession.
Police said cognizance of the matter has been taken and further investigation is underway.
