SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi is among eight players from the region shortlisted for the IPL 2026 Player Auction, set to take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi.

The BCCI’s final list features Auqib Nabi, Nasir Muzaffar, Atif Mushtaq, Waseem Khanday, Vivrant Sharma, Abid Mushtaq, Qamran Iqbal and Ashwin Murugan from the JKCA.

Nabi, 28, a swing bowler from Baramulla, has been one of J&K’s standout performers in domestic cricket. His 44-wicket Ranji Trophy season placed him among the country’s top bowlers, and he made history by becoming the first bowler in Duleep Trophy history to claim four wickets in four balls.

He recently appeared in trials with the Mumbai Indians, boosting expectations ahead of the high-profile auction.
