Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the NDA parliamentary meeting on Tuesday, said the country has entered a full-fledged “Reform Express” phase, where reforms are being implemented rapidly and with clear intent.

The Prime Minister underlined that the government’s reform agenda is fundamentally citizen-centric, not limited to economics or revenue considerations. “Our aim is to remove the everyday hurdles faced by ordinary people so they can realise their full potential,” he said.

Modi urged Members of Parliament to actively communicate real, on-ground issues faced by citizens so that the reform process can reach every household and address daily challenges effectively.

Stressing the need to cut down bureaucratic complexities, the Prime Minister said he is committed to ending the culture of 30–40 page forms, excessive paperwork and repetitive data submission. “Services must reach citizens at their doorstep. We must trust our people and simplify their lives,” he said.

He recalled the government’s decision to allow self-certification, describing it as a major trust-based reform that has worked successfully for the past decade without any significant misuse.

PM Modi reiterated that both Ease of Life and Ease of Doing Business remain top priorities for his government as it enters its third term, promising faster, simpler and more inclusive governance.
