Srinagar to Get Scientific Traffic Decongestion Plan: DC

Srinagar, Sept 30: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Tuesday said a comprehensive traffic decongestion plan for the city will be finalized within 10 days and submitted to the Divisional Commissioner and the Government.He said traffic management in Srinagar requires a coordinated effort involving Traffic Police, Revenue, R&B, SMC, LCMA, and SDA. “This will not be just a vision document but a practical plan with short-, mid-, and long-term measures,” he added.Labroo said inputs from stakeholders have already been compiled and shared with the government, after which implementation will begin.
