Srinagar, Sept 21: An Indo-Australian delegation led by Dr. Sajid N. Saiyed, Chairman of the Bharat CSR Network, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday and proposed a series of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development in Jammu and Kashmir.

The delegation outlined key projects including the establishment of 10 Smart Villages, setting up Artificial Intelligence (AI) laboratories, launching a Waste-to-Wealth programme to boost sustainability, initiating water remediation projects, and constructing community centres. They also proposed rehabilitation support for flood-affected victims in the region.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha lauded the delegation’s commitment towards community empowerment and sustainable growth in the Union Territory. He assured the administration’s full cooperation in facilitating and implementing the proposed initiatives.

The LG said that such initiatives would significantly contribute to improving the quality of life, particularly in rural areas, and further strengthen the developmental landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.
