Srinagar, Sept 16: Senior National Conference leader Ruhullah Mehdi on Tuesday lashed out at the Omar Abdullah-led government over the prolonged highway blockade, urging the administration to act immediately to end the sufferings of the people.Mehdi said the silence of political representatives at such a critical juncture would only worsen the situation, warning that the consequences would not spare them either.“If political representatives remain silent at this stage, they will also face consequences. If they remain silent now, it will be their turn next. If they don’t wake up, then all of us will have to stand up for this,” Mehdi said.
