Jammu: The Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra, which was set to resume on Sunday, September 14, after a 19-day suspension, has been postponed till further notice due to incessant rains in Jammu and Kashmir.

The pilgrimage was halted on August 26, hours before a landslide on the shrine route claimed 34 lives and injured 20 others. Despite earlier plans to restart the yatra, the Shrine Board announced on Saturday that persistent rainfall and fresh landslides have made the tracks unsafe.

Authorities have urged devotees to follow official updates, as connectivity has also been hit with landslides disrupting the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway.
