Kupwara, Sept 14: Minister Sakina Itoo on Sunday emphasized the importance of blood donation, urging greater public—especially youth—participation in such initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at a blood donation awareness event, she praised the organizers and stressed the need for regular programs at grassroots and institutional levels. “Whether it’s an accident or a medical emergency, blood is often not readily available. These initiatives can save lives, and no one should die for lack of blood,” she said.

The minister expressed happiness over youth involvement and called for wider participation. She assured government support, particularly through the Health Department, for all such efforts.

Calling the campaign a “noble cause,” Itoo appealed to the public to contribute to building a more responsive healthcare system. (Inputs from KNS)
