Ramban, July 5:
Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday confirmed that 36 Amarnath pilgrims sustained minor injuries in a road accident at Chandrakot in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district. The injured are being treated at the District Hospital Ramban.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the minister said he had spoken to Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, regarding the incident. He assured that there is “no reason for concern” and that all necessary arrangements for the pilgrims are in place and under constant supervision by the administration.

The vehicle involved was reportedly carrying pilgrims en route to the Amarnath Yatra, an annual pilgrimage to the Himalayan shrine. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
