Gujarat: A devastating road accident claimed three lives and left three others critically injured when two cars collided and caught fire near Sardhar village in Gujarat’s Rajkot district on Saturday evening, according to police reports.

The crash occurred on the state highway connecting Rajkot to Bhavnagar. One of the vehicles, carrying eight passengers, erupted in flames following the head-on collision. Among the deceased were Niruben Makwana (35), Himanshi Sarvaiya (22), and 12-year-old Meet Sakariya, who died on the spot.

Three other passengers suffered serious burn injuries and were rushed to Rajkot Civil Hospital for treatment. Authorities also reported that a three-year-old girl, Hetavi Makwana, is currently unaccounted for.

Police said both vehicles were extensively damaged in the blaze. The incident is under investigation.
