Malé: Indian on Tuesday, hosted a curtain raiser event for the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in Malé, Maldives, highlighting its vision and priorities for the upcoming global summit scheduled to be held from 16–20 February 2026.
The event was attended by senior officials, policymakers, technology experts, and members of the diplomatic community. Dr. Aishath Asna Hamdhy (@Drkinaa), Maldives’ Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, underscoring the growing collaboration between India and the Maldives in emerging technologies.
During the curtain raiser, Indian representatives outlined the core objectives of the AI Impact Summit 2026, which aims to promote the responsible, inclusive, and ethical development of Artificial Intelligence. The summit will serve as a global platform for dialogue on AI governance, innovation, and its societal impact, particularly in developing and emerging economies.
Speakers emphasized India’s commitment to leveraging AI for public good, ensuring equitable access to technology, and building robust frameworks that address ethical concerns such as data privacy, transparency, and accountability.
