MUMBAI, July 5: In a historic show of unity, thousands of workers from the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) marched with enthusiasm to attend a joint rally organized by cousins Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray on Saturday. This marks the first time in nearly two decades that the Thackeray brothers have shared a public platform.
The rally, held at the NSCI Dome in Worli, witnessed a massive turnout. Amid the overwhelming crowd, hundreds of party supporters forced their way into the campus by breaking the main gate.
“Supporters of both parties forcefully entered the venue by breaking down the main gate. Police later shut the gate again to prevent a repeat of the incident,” an official said.
To manage the situation and maintain order, a large police force was deployed at the venue. Additional barricades have also been installed to control the crowd and ensure security.
