SRINAGAR — In the wake of recent cross-border shelling, the Chief Minister on Wednesday visited several villages in the Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district to meet residents affected by the violence. Expressing deep solidarity, he said the anguish and resilience of the local population resonated with him on a personal level.Taking to social media platform X, the Chief Minister’s Office posted:“Heading to Uri today to meet those affected by the recent shelling. Over the past few days, I’ve witnessed immense pain, loss, and unimaginable courage of our people. These visits should have been occasions to celebrate progress, not to offer condolences. The pain of my people is deeply personal.”

The Chief Minister interacted with families impacted by the shelling and assured them of all possible assistance. His visit comes amid growing concern over civilian safety in areas along the Line of Control, where sporadic shelling has disrupted lives and displaced families.
