SRINAGAR: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir on Friday conducted raids in Jammu, Doda, and Handwara as part of an ongoing probe into a terror funding case involving cross-border cryptocurrency transactions.
The searches, carried out under FIR No. 12/2022 registered at Police Station CI-SIA Kashmir, relate to offences under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Indian Penal Code, including criminal conspiracy and waging war against the nation.
Officials said electronic devices and other materials were seized during the raids, which are expected to help identify individuals involved in funding terrorism, inciting youth against the Union of India, and threatening national security.
“SIA is focused on dismantling the terror ecosystem, including the use of emerging tools like cryptocurrency,” the agency said.
