SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday conducted a court-supervised search at a shop in Litter Pulwama, leading to the seizure of banned literature and other incriminating material, officials said.
A police spokesperson stated that the search was carried out on the basis of a warrant issued by the NIA Court Pulwama at the shop of Mohammad Amir Rather, a resident of Litter Pulwama. The operation was conducted in the presence of a magistrate and independent witnesses to ensure transparency.
During the search, police recovered JKDFP posters and banned books, which have been taken into custody for detailed examination. An investigation has been initiated to determine the wider links and verify any additional connections to the seized material.
The police reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and taking strict action against unlawful and anti-national activities in the district, the statement added.
