New Delhi, October 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a heartfelt letter to the citizens of India on the occasion of Diwali, touching upon major national developments and the spirit of self-reliance that marks the festival.

In his message, the Prime Minister extended warm Diwali greetings to all Indians and reflected on the country’s recent achievements and ongoing transformations. He lauded the success of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a testament to the courage and commitment of India’s armed forces and security agencies.

Referring to internal security, PM Modi noted that the nation is witnessing “the near end of Naxalism,” a decades-long insurgency that had once gripped several regions. “Peace and progress have replaced fear and instability,” he wrote, crediting coordinated efforts between central and state agencies.
