New Delhi, Nov 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep anguish over the horrific blast that rocked the national capital on Sunday evening, leaving several people injured and triggering panic across the city.

In a statement posted on social media, the Prime Minister said the incident has caused immense pain to everyone and assured that those responsible for the act will not be spared.

“The horrific blast in Delhi last evening has deeply pained everyone. India stands with those who have suffered. I assure everyone that the agencies will get to the bottom of the entire conspiracy. All those involved will be brought to justice,” Modi said.

Security agencies have launched a multi-agency probe to trace the origin of the explosion and identify those behind the attack. Forensic teams and bomb disposal units have been deployed at the site to gather evidence.

Senior officials from Delhi Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited the scene earlier today. Authorities have also increased security at public places and transport hubs across the city as a precautionary measure.

Further details about the nature of the blast and the number of casualties are awaited as investigations continue.
