Dubai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday described his visit to the United Arab Emirates as “brief, yet extraordinarily fruitful,” emphasizing the growing strategic and economic partnership between the two nations.
In a post shared on X after concluding the visit, Modi said he held “in-depth discussions” with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on ways to further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE.
“The visit to the United Arab Emirates was brief, yet extraordinarily fruitful; where in-depth discussions were held with my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on ways to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and the UAE,” the Prime Minister wrote.
Modi further expressed confidence that the outcomes of the visit would strengthen bilateral relations and promote mutual growth and prosperity.
“And I am confident that the outcomes of this visit will further solidify the bonds of friendship between us, and contribute to achieving growth and prosperity,” he added.
The visit comes amid expanding cooperation between India and the UAE across sectors including trade, energy, technology, investment, defence, and people-to-people ties. Over the past few years, the two countries have significantly enhanced diplomatic engagement and economic collaboration, making the UAE one of India’s key strategic partners in the Gulf region.
Political observers note that the close rapport between Modi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has played a crucial role in accelerating bilateral initiatives and strengthening regional cooperation.
The India-UAE partnership has also witnessed rapid growth in trade and investment following the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), aimed at boosting economic integration and creating new opportunities for businesses in both countries.
