KUTCH (GUJARAT), Nov 25:
A young Pakistani couple who eloped from their homes undertook a gruelling overnight journey on foot to reach the India–Pakistan border in Gujarat’s Kutch district, only to be detained by the Border Security Force (BSF) upon entering Indian territory.

According to police, BSF personnel apprehended the duo — Popat (24) and Gauri (20) — shortly after they crossed the international border on Monday.

An official from the Balasar police station said the couple fled their village, located just 8 kilometres from the border, late Sunday night and trekked the entire distance under the cover of darkness.

Authorities are currently questioning the two and conducting necessary procedures as per cross-border intrusion protocols.
