Srinagar, September 24, 2025 – Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) Chief Spokesperson and MLA from Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq, welcomed the announcement of the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections for the four vacant seats in the Union Territory.

Speaking to reporters at the party headquarters, Nawai-e-Subha, Sadiq described the elections as a significant step toward strengthening democracy in the region.

“At long last, the people will have their representatives in the Rajya Sabha, which is essential for the democratic process,” he said, adding that the elections were timely and crucial for political stability.

Sadiq also expressed concern over the prevailing situation in Ladakh, calling for increased attention to the region’s issues and challenges.
