Srinagar, Aug 27: Minister Satish Sharma on Wednesday reviewed the post-flood situation across Jammu and Kashmir, stressing the need for proactive relief and coordinated efforts among departments to ensure timely assistance to affected people.
During the review meeting, Sharma directed officials to strengthen on-ground support systems, particularly for swift evacuation and rehabilitation of flood-hit families. He assured that there will be no shortage of essential supplies, including LPG, food grains and medicines, in the affected areas.
The Minister emphasized close coordination between civil administration, disaster response teams and health services to mitigate the impact of the floods. He also called for prioritizing rehabilitation measures so that the displaced families can be settled at the earliest.
“The government is committed to ensuring that relief reaches every household in need. Adequate supplies are being mobilized and rehabilitation work will be taken up in a time-bound manner,” Sharma said.
