SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday visited Chasoti village in Kishtwar district to review the aftermath of the recent cloudburst and flash floods.
Briefed by Army personnel on the ground situation, the CM also used a Virtual Reality headset to gain a detailed view of the destruction. He directed officials to speed up relief and rehabilitation measures, ensuring coordination between the administration, Army, and disaster response teams.
The calamity caused heavy property losses and forced residents from their homes. Abdullah assured that immediate medical aid and other assistance would be provided to the affected families.
