SRINAGAR, July 25: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today met with a 50-member delegation from the Save Youth Save Future Foundation at Raj Bhawan, commending the organization’s continued efforts in youth engagement, outreach to families affected by terrorism, de-radicalization initiatives, and drug de-addiction programs.
During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the Foundation for playing a pivotal role in steering young minds towards positive and constructive pursuits, especially in sensitive and conflict-affected areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
“I appreciate the tireless work of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation in fostering peace, addressing social challenges, and empowering the youth. Their initiatives have made a meaningful impact on the ground,” LG Sinha remarked.
The delegation included Shri Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of the Foundation; Ms. Anika Nazir, Head of the Women’s Wing; Shri Mudasir Ahmed Dar, South Kashmir Zonal President; along with other core team members. They briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the various initiatives undertaken by the organization and shared suggestions for further collaboration with government agencies to expand their outreach.
The Foundation, known for its grassroots-level interventions, has been actively working across Jammu and Kashmir to provide guidance, counseling, and rehabilitation to youth vulnerable to radicalization and substance abuse.
The interaction underscored the administration’s support for community-led efforts aimed at strengthening social harmony and youth empowerment across the Union Territory.
