Srinagar, Aug 15 — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha hoisted the National Flag at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar, on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day.
Extending his warm greetings to the people, LG Sinha said the day is a celebration of India’s unity and sovereignty. “This is a day we salute our tricolour and take pride in watching it fly high in the sky,” he remarked.
The ceremony at Raj Bhavan was attended by senior officials and dignitaries.
