Srinagar, Oct 10: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday addressed athletes participating in the 10th All India Police Judo Cluster held in Srinagar, emphasizing the transformative power of sports in fostering unity and positive social values.
“It was a pleasure to address the athletes participating in the 10th All India Police Judo Cluster at Srinagar,” LG Sinha wrote on X. He said that sports not only build courage and character but also nurture a spirit of collective identity, camaraderie, peace, equality, and friendship among people and regions.
In another post, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the J&K Police for its multifaceted contribution to society, stating that the force plays a crucial role beyond its traditional duties.
“J&K Police is not only fighting terrorism, maintaining law and order, and protecting citizens but it is also a crucial agent of socio-economic development,” Sinha said. He added that the police have ensured peace and stability, paving the way for industrial growth and overall progress in the Union Territory.
The 10th All India Police Judo Cluster, being held in Srinagar, brings together athletes from police organizations across the country, showcasing skill, discipline, and sportsmanship.
