Srinagar, Sept 15: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today attended the closing ceremony of Jashn-e-Dal, the annual water sports festival organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police at the iconic Dal Lake.
Addressing the gathering, the Lt Governor said the main objective of the tournament is to engage youth in constructive activities and to foster unity, harmony, and camaraderie among athletes.
He appreciated the efforts of J&K Police for organizing the event, which has become a popular annual sporting festival attracting enthusiastic participation from across the region.
The Lt Governor added that such initiatives not only provide a platform for young talent but also highlight the cultural and natural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, with Dal Lake serving as a vibrant backdrop for adventure and sportsmanship.
Senior officials of J&K Police, sports enthusiasts, and a large number of locals witnessed the colorful closing ceremony.
