Kupwara, Sept 28: The Geology and Mining Department in Kupwara today seized a JCB machine and a tractor allegedly used in illegal mining activities in the district.
Officials said the action comes as part of the department’s intensified crackdown on unlawful mineral extraction and its ongoing monitoring of mining operations. They reiterated that strict legal action will be taken against violators to curb illegal practices and protect natural resources.
