Srinagar, June 1: A delegation of senior leaders from the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), led by Shri Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Chairman of the party’s Parliamentary Affairs Committee, met with the Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha, today to discuss pressing public concerns.
The delegation included Shri Mohd. Ashraf Mir, Shri Rafi Ahmad Mir, Shri Hilal Ahmad Shah, Shri Abdul Majeed Padder, and Shri Muntazir Mohiuddin. During the meeting, they raised several important issues, including the welfare of families affected by unprovoked shelling from across the border, the promotion of the tourism sector, and the need to strengthen disaster management mechanisms in the region.
The leaders also deliberated on matters related to the smooth and peaceful conduct of Muharram.
The Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that appropriate action would be taken to address the concerns raised during the interaction.
