SRINAGAR: In a stepped-up crackdown on militant networks, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday carried out a series of coordinated raids at several locations in Poonch district.
The searches were conducted at eight sites, mostly focusing on the homes of individuals suspected of maintaining ties with Pakistan-based militant leaders. Many of these operatives are believed to have roots in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said the operation aimed to uncover evidence of cross-border links and local logistical support believed to be aiding militant activities in the region.
