Jammu, Nov — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday delivered the Chancellor’s Address at the Special Convocation of the University of Jammu, calling on students, scholars, and faculty members to embrace change and align themselves with the evolving demands of India’s growing economy.

In his address, LG Sinha emphasized the need for a skill-first curriculum, stating that the future workforce must be prepared not only with academic knowledge but with practical competencies that match industry requirements. He urged universities to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, innovate across traditional boundaries, and respond proactively to emerging global trends.

“Educational institutions must keep pace with rapid transformations across sectors. The youth should be equipped with relevant skills and the confidence to lead India’s growth story,” he said, highlighting the importance of adaptability in a changing world.
