Mendhar, Poonch:
Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, on Sunday launched the Signature Campaign announced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, aimed at pressing for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood.
The campaign, which began in Mendhar, Poonch, seeks to mobilize public support and generate a collective voice in favor of reinstating the erstwhile state’s constitutional and political status.
Addressing the gathering, Rana urged people from all walks of life to actively participate in the democratic initiative. He emphasized that the restoration of statehood is vital for safeguarding the dignity, rights, and identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“This campaign is not just about signatures; it is about unity and the aspirations of our people. Together, we must ensure that our voice reaches the highest corridors of power,” Rana said.
The Signature Campaign is expected to cover different districts of Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days, with leaders appealing for wide-scale participation.
