Jammu, October 5: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced a two-day closure of all government and private schools across the Jammu Division following a heavy rainfall warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

As per an order issued by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director of School Education Jammu, all schools will remain closed on October 6 and 7, 2025, as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The decision follows the IMD’s advisory predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of the region. The Directorate said further updates will be issued depending on weather developments.
