Jammu, Jan 17:
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday inaugurated a two-day National Level Sports Conference, aimed at advancing the national sports agenda through the exchange of best practices in governance, participation, athlete development, and performance excellence.
The conference brings together policymakers, sports administrators, experts, and stakeholders from across the country to deliberate on strengthening sports ecosystems and fostering a culture of excellence in sports.
In a post on social media platform X, the Lieutenant Governor said that the conference will focus on identifying actionable strategies to further strengthen sports systems in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He added that the deliberations will help prepare a roadmap for the effective implementation of the National Sports Policy 2025 and J&K Sports Policy 2022.
“The conference will also highlight key measures for shaping a resilient and future-ready generation through sports,” LG Manoj Sinha stated.
Officials said the event will feature technical sessions, panel discussions, and experience-sharing forums focused on improving sports infrastructure, talent identification, grassroots participation, and high-performance outcomes. The outcomes of the conference are expected to contribute significantly to policy alignment and long-term sports development in J&K and across the country.
