Srinagar, May 8:
The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is currently witnessing light to moderate rain and thundershowers across several parts, with the Jammu division receiving more widespread precipitation compared to the Kashmir division.

According to the latest weather advisory, the region is expected to experience spells of light to moderate rain and thundershowers at scattered to many places from May 8 to May 12. This wet spell may bring a temporary respite from the rising temperatures, particularly in the plains of Jammu.

However, starting May 13, the weather is likely to shift to a generally hot and dry pattern, persisting at least until May 17, with clear skies and rising daytime temperatures expected in most areas.

The Meteorological Department has advised residents and travelers to stay updated with local weather bulletins and plan accordingly, especially in areas prone to landslides or waterlogging.
