New Delhi, May 8: The central government has scheduled an all-party meeting today to brief opposition leaders on Operation Sindoor, a recent precision military operation targeting nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The strikes were carried out in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which left 26 civilians dead.
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju announced the meeting on X, stating that it will be held at 11 am in Committee Room G-074 of the Parliament Library Building, within the Parliament Complex in New Delhi.
According to government sources, the meeting will cover the strategic objectives, operational outcomes, and security preparedness of Indian forces in the wake of potential retaliatory action from Pakistan. The offensive reportedly dismantled infrastructure linked to banned terrorist organisations, including Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
The government will be represented in the meeting by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju.
