KARACHI, May 21: A devastating bomb blast struck a school bus in Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Wednesday morning, killing four children and injuring 38 others, according to local media reports.

The explosion occurred near Zero Point in the Khuzdar district, said Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti, as quoted by Dawn. The bus, carrying schoolchildren, was en route when it was targeted by the blast.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the deceased and injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The nature of the explosive device and the motive behind the attack are yet to be determined.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing so far. Authorities have launched an investigation and increased security in the area.The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with calls for greater protection of children and educational institutions in conflict-prone regions.
