Srinagar, July 28: The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Kashmir has apprehended four individuals in connection with a revenue fraud case involving corruption, cheating, and unauthorized tampering with official land records in the Srinagar and Budgam districts.
The case was registered under FIR No. 14/2025 on July 9 and implicates seven individuals, including two revenue department officials, in orchestrating a systematic fraud that reportedly led to financial losses for several locals.Those taken into custody have been identified as Riyaz Ahmad Bhat from Nowgam, Mohammad Shafi Lone alias Shaff Cheeni from Peerbagh, Shahnawaz Ahmad Rather from Padshahi Bagh, and Shabir Ahmad Wani from Lasjan.
