Srinagar, Nov 25: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Tuesday inaugurated a Kissan Mela-cum-Exhibition organised under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) at Darbagh Harwan.
The event showcased a range of agricultural and horticultural technologies, farm machinery, high-density plantation models and products from local growers. A large number of farmers, orchardists and agri-startups from across the district participated.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Labroo urged farmers and youth to take full advantage of the Government’s credit-linked and subsidy-based agriculture and horticulture schemes, stressing that these initiatives are designed to boost productivity, improve livelihoods and modernise the sector.
