Surankote, May 4:
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch, Vikas Kundal, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shafakat Hussain on Saturday chaired a joint meeting with civil society members in Sub-Division Surankote to review and address pressing developmental concerns in the area.

The meeting, held at the Dak Bungalow Surankote, saw participation from local representatives, social activists, religious leaders, and prominent citizens. Various developmental issues related to road connectivity, water supply, healthcare, education, and power infrastructure were raised by the participants.

DC Kundal assured the attendees that all genuine grievances would be addressed on priority and stressed the administration’s commitment to equitable development across the district. SSP Hussain also urged cooperation between the public and law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and ensure smooth implementation of development projects.

The officers encouraged civil society members to continue playing an active role in the region’s progress and assured regular engagement for better coordination between the administration and the public.
