SRINAGAR: Amid ongoing restrictions, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, inspected the town’s main market to review essential supplies and trade activity. Interacting with shopkeepers and residents, he assured steady availability of food, medicines, and daily essentials while urging people to maintain peace and harmony.Officials said the situation remains peaceful with gradual return to normalcy, though internet services are suspended and schools remain shut. The curfew was imposed after the arrest of MLA Mehraj Malik, which triggered protests earlier this week. Authorities said security measures will continue to prevent any untoward incident, stressing public cooperation as key to restoring normal life.
