April 26: In a continued crackdown following the Pahalgam attack, security forces on Saturday demolished the residences of three active Lashkar-e-Taiba militants across South Kashmir.

Officials confirmed that the home of Ehsan-ul-Haq Sheikh, a resident of Muran in Pulwama district, was brought down late Friday night.

In a separate operation in Kulgam, the house of Zakir Ahmad Gania—who joined militancy in 2023—was destroyed through a controlled explosion in the Matalhama area.

The third demolition took place in Shopian’s Chotipora village, where the residence of Shahid Ahmad Kutay, reportedly active in militant ranks since 2002, was flattened.

The latest actions come a day after similar demolitions were carried out in Tral and Bijbhera, targeting the houses of Asif Ahmad Sheikh and Adil Thoker, both allegedly linked to the recent attack in Pahalgam.

Investigations are ongoing as security agencies intensify operations against individuals associated with militant groups in the region.
