Srinagar, Oct 23: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today led the House in paying homage to the legislators who passed away since the previous session of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
The Assembly observed obituary references in memory of the departed members, recalling their invaluable contributions to public life and their dedicated service to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In his remarks, the Chief Minister lauded the late legislators for their commitment to public welfare and their efforts in strengthening democratic institutions in the Union Territory. Other members of the House also joined in expressing their condolences and paid rich tributes to the deceased lawmakers.
The House observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
